Jedwards International, Inc. is a wholesale bulk supplier of Linseed Oil - Double Boiled (with dryer).
Linseed oil is pressed from the dried, ripened flax seeds of the Linum usitatissimum species. After the extraction process is finalized, the yielded oil goes through a boiling process with a drying agent to produce an oil with a faster drying time when compared to raw linseed oil. Double boiled linseed oil is commonly used as a waterproofing and sealing agent, protecting unfinished wood surfaces against minor surface damage, grazes, and watermarks. The level of waterproofing provided by linseed oil doesn’t withstand outdoor use and should be taken into consideration. Woodcrafters typically reapply linseed oil at least once a year for better protection. In the steel industry, double boiled linseed oil protects against corrosion and repels water to avert rusting. Additional uses include acting as a carrier for oil paints and blending with stains to increase drying efficiency. Linseed is not food grade and should not be confused with food grade flaxseed oil; flaxseed oil and linseed oil are extracted from the same plant species but go through very different production processes.

What is your order processing time?
Current processing time is up to one week, exceptions may apply.

What is the difference between Virgin and Refined?
Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.

What does RBD mean?
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.

What does "deodorized" mean?
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.

What is the difference between Organic-certified and non-Organic?
QAI is our Organic Certifying Agency. Organic certification verifies that your farm or handling facility—located anywhere in the world—complies with the USDA organic regulations and allows you to sell, label, and represent your products as organic.

What does Non-GMO mean?
Non-Genetically Modified Organism; by definition, all Organic Certified materials are Non-GMO.
