Tung Oil - Virgin
Tung Oil - Virgin is an unrefined oil, extracted from the seeds of the Tung tree and carries a dark honey hue. Commonly referred to as Chinese wood oil, Tung oil is a favored oil as an applied finish to a variety of materials, most often used as a wood finish. Tung oil is also procured as a finish for bamboo, concrete, stone, brick, and metal. This fast-drying and easy to apply, non-toxic oil helps protect materials from water, heat, rust, acid, or other destructive elements. Bulk tung oil is a preferred finish for furniture, toys, flooring, decks, siding, cabinetry, and musical instruments. The yielded gloss of the finish depends on the amount of tung oil applied to an object with larger concentrations requiring a longer drying time. Tung Oil may be used on its own or combined with other materials to create different colored or textured finishes. Please note Tung Oil is not for consumption.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
