Hi Lignan Flax Seed Oil – Virgin Organic is comprised of cold-pressed flax seed oil and partially defatted flax seed powder, carrying a yellow hue with a mild characteristic nutty aroma and flavor profile. This unique variety of organic certified flax seed oil is especially high in lignan content, a plant-based polyphenol sought after for specific diets, nutritional supplements, and perceived health benefits. Flax seed oil contains a naturally high level of omega-3 Linolenic fatty acids, a desired essential fatty acid in which the body cannot naturally produce. Bulk Hi lignan flax seed oil is widely used in the food and beverage industry in addition to being widely procured to formulate nutraceutical products.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
