Lecithins / Kosher / Conventional / Organic
Lecithin is a fatty element found in various plants, such as sunflowers and soybeans. Throughout the food and beverage manufacturing industry, lecithin aids in thickening a formulation, increasing viscosity, and stabilizing emulsions of recipes, confections, ice cream, fat spreads, and boosting the volume of dough. In the cosmetic industry, lecithin acts as a stabilizing agent and surfactant in formulations such as body lotions, creams, face cleansers and makeup products. Industrial applications for lecithin include the manufacture of capsules, animal feed, paint, and ink.
