Jedwards International, Inc. is a wholesale bulk supplier of Organic Yacon Syrup.
Organic yacon syrup is derived from the root of the perennial Smallanthus sonchifolius plant. This natural sweetener is light brown in color and has a consistency similar to molasses. Yacon's sugars are primarily composed of a component called "FOS", short for fructooligiosaccharides, which is a low-calorie carbohydrate that is sweet like sugar. Because of this, and its nutritional properties, the syrup is often used as a substitute for sugar, honey, molasses and other sweeteners. Yacon syrup can be used for cooking and baking and is believed to carry natural benefits.
