Witch Hazel – Alcohol Free is a clear, colorless distillate from the partially dried twigs and bark of the Hamamelis virginiana Linné plant, containing 0.15% Benzoic Acid, a naturally occurring antiseptic. Unlike many forms of Witch Hazel, this variety of Witch Hazel does not contain any alcohol.
Witch Hazel is widely used on its own as an astringent to remedy bacterial acne or mixed with combined with other ingredients for optimal skincare benefits. Alcohol-free toners are trending among consumers with sensitive skin. Some skin types may experience excessive drying of the skin when using witch hazel containing ethanol or grain alcohols and opt for this Alcohol Free Witch Hazel instead.
