Organic certified walnut oil is cold pressed extracted from the nut of the Juglans regia tree followed by a through refining process. The resulting oil yields a clear light-yellow appearance with a neutral aroma and flavor profile. Walnut oil is coveted for its naturally occurring high levels of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid desired in culinary and personal health care industries. With a low smoke point, organic walnut oil is used in low heat-cooking applications such as salad dressings and sauces. In personal-care and cosmetic manufacturing, walnut oil provides hydrating and moisturizing properties for skincare formulations and is commonly used in message therapy. Industrial applications for walnut oil include wood finishes and oil paints.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
