This aqueous solution contains 60% sodium lactate derived from sugars of sugarcane and beets, yielding a clear liquid with a mild saline flavor profile. Sodium lactate is utilized as a humectant and moisturizer in cosmetic formulations such as in shampoos, conditioners, serums, creams, and facial masks. In the production of cold process soap making, bulk sodium lactate promotes the hardening of soap bars, allowing for efficient and effective unmolding. In hot process soap production, this raw material enhances the texture and contributes to a firmer end-product. Sodium lactate acts as a preservative in a variety of food and beverage applications such as in meat products, dairy, sauces, and dressings.
