Zinc Oxide

Zinc oxide is a UVA and UVB absorber, frequently used in the formulation of sun protectants, ointments, or cosmetic products claiming potential sun protection benefits. This material is also found in topical products such as rash or itch relief creams, anti-dandruff shampoos, calamine, or topical balms for minor irritations. Zinc oxide is a preferred ingredient for supplement and nutraceutical product manufacturing. Industrial applications include paints, rubber, ink, plastics, enamels, glass, electronics, and adhesives.
