Refined Rosehip oil is expeller pressed from the wild harvested seeds of the Rosa Rubiginosa and Rosa Canina plant, yielding an oil rich in essential fatty acids such as Linoleic (C18:2) and Linolenic (C18:3). After extraction, this variety of rosehip oil is fully refined, yielding a light yellow to orange appearance with a bland characteristic aroma. Rosehip oil is vastly distributed for personal-care and cosmetic applications due to its high essential fatty acid content, ideal for skincare applications to moisture, hydrate, sooth, treat, protect, and care for dry or damaged skin. Topical products capitalizing on rosehip’s properties include face serums, anti-aging creams, lotions, soap, acne targeting solutions, and overnight skin treatments

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
