Pistachio Nut Oil is expeller pressed from pistachio nuts collected from the Pistacia vera seed plant. The resulting oil is fully refined and winterized, yielding a yellow to green liquid with a bland aroma and flavor profile. Throughout the cosmetic industry, pistachio oil is often used to manufacture anti-aging products due to its vitamin e content and natural emollient properties. Its essential fatty acid content helps maintain a healthy skin complexion and naturally nourishes the hair and scalp. In addition to personal-care formulations, pistachio oil is used in culinary applications and as a common cooking oil.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
