Mineral oil, also known as liquid paraffin, is a naturally-derived odorless, colorless oily liquid. This variety of Mineral Oil 70 - USP represents the most refined, purest grade with a low viscosity, measured by its Kinematic viscosity which is reported on each Certificate of Analysis for the material. Light mineral oil in cosmetics may help prevent moisture loss and rejuvenate one's skin due to its natural emollient properties, making this a very common ingredient in topical personal-care products such as ointments, creams, sunscreen and lip care. In additional to personal-care formulations, bulk mineral oil 70 is often used in a wide-range of industrial applications as a lubricant or release agent.
