Mandarin Oil – Cold Pressed is a pure essential oil, cold-pressed extracted from the peel of fully mature, ripened mandarins (botanically named Citrus reticulata). The resulting oil carries a dark-orange to red appearance with a characteristic sweet citrus aroma. This raw material is suitable to use as is or by blending with a carrier oil or essential oil of your choice. Red Mandarin Oil is the sweetest of the three Mandarin oils offered in the industry, and is said to yield one of the most calming aromas among all essential oils.
Citrus essential oils, such as mandarin oil, are widely used in aromatherapy, cosmetic formulations, personal care products, and throughout the food and beverage industry. The primary flavoring and fragrance component of Mandarin oil is d-limonene, a constituent sought after in natural cleaning products and insecticides. Additionally, Mandarin oil naturally contains gamma-terpinene, a chemical with potential antioxidant benefits. The industrial applications for essential oils such as mandarin are plentiful and growing. This essential oil is photosensitive; direct exposure to sunlight should be avoided.
