Magnesium Chloride, MgCl2 - 6 H2O, is a white fine flake extracted from the brine of Dead Sea water, also referred to as hydrated magnesium chloride. Magnesium chloride is highly soluble in water and distributed across several industries for a multitude of applications. In the personal-care realm, magnesium chloride is added to topical skin formulations for various conditions and a preferred compound added to baths and body scrubs. Additional industrial applications include textile and paper manufacturing, deicing agents, fireproofing, cements, rubbers, dyes, and catalysts. Magnesium Chloride is not intended for consumption.
