Kukui Nut Oil, also referred to as candlenut oil, is expeller pressed from the nut of Aleurites moluccanus, plant. This variety of kukui nut oil is fully refined, yielding a clear honey yellow appearance and neutral aroma. This lightweight oil maintains a naturally healthy level of linoleic, oleic, and linolenic fatty acid content, desired components for cosmetic and personal-care formulations. Kukui nut oil is utilized in a variety of topical skincare products, such as serums, lotions, and facial creams for its effective moisturizing, emollient, and hydrating properties. In addition to skincare applications, kukui nut oil is desired for hair products including damaged hair treatments, shampoos, and conditioner for its nourishing impact on the scalp and hair follicles.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
