Hazelnut oil – Virgin Organic is cold-pressed extracted from the seeds of plant Corylus avellana, yielding an oil ranging in appearance from light yellow to dark orange with a characteristic aroma. This unrefined oil is naturally high in oleic fatty acid content as well as palmitic and linoleic acids. Organic Hazelnut oil has become a favored ingredient in personal-care and cosmetic formulations for products such as lotions, serums, hair treatments, and topical moisturizers. Additionally, it is a common additive in the food and beverage manufacturing industry used in various salad dressings and sauces, desserts, pasta dishes, or as a flavor additive.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
