Emulsifying wax is used in personal-care and cosmetic formulations to bind oils and water-based ingredients together, providing greater stability in finished goods. Emulsifiers allow a recipe to remain homogenous and consistent, creating a creamy, smooth texture in the end-product such as in toners, creams, lotions, sunscreens, and body butters. In industrial applications, emulsifying wax is formulated into sealants, lubricants, polishes, and coatings.
