BTMS-25 Emulsifier RSPO MB

BTMS-25 Emulsifier RSPO MB is a widely used wax procured for the personal-care and cosmetic realm. This material is in waxy pastille form with a white to off-white appearance, containing 25% of the active ingredient behentrimonium methosulfate as noted by the BTSM-25 in the product name. Additionally, this wax contains cetearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol which offer emollient and thickening properties. The primary purpose for emulsifying wax is to bind oil and water-based ingredients together, mainly for skin and haircare formulations. Specifically in haircare products, it acts as an anti-static and frizz reducing agent. BTMS-25 emulsifying wax provides a smooth, silky texture and improves the consistency in formulations. BTMS emulsifiers are commonly utilized in lotions, shampoos, conditioners, styling gels and foams, creams, masks, and cleansers.
This emulsifier holds the RSPO-MB (Mass Balance) certification, one of four certification levels offered by the RSPO which monitors the trade of sustainably certified and non-sustainably certified palm oil. The Mass Balance certification allows the overall production of both RSPO and non-RSPO certified palm oil to maintain an even balance, hence its Mass Balance designation, with administrative traceability of the input and mixing of RSPO and non-RSPO certified palm oil, but at controlled quantities.
