Organic Brazil Nut Oil is harvested by hand from a tree native to South America and cold-pressed extracted, yielding a clear, viscous liquid with a pale yellow to light brown appearance. It carries a bland yet characteristic nutty aroma and is naturally rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acid content along with vitamin E and selenium. Organic brazil nut oil is most utilized in the cosmetic and personal-care industry for its natural moisturizing properties, found in a wide-range of topical serums, lotions, and ointments. Brazil nut oil is a common cooking oil as well, used in a range of dishes or added to salad dressings and marinades.

Virgin is considered the natural/raw material with the characteristic color, flavor, and aroma. Refining removes these properties so the material is a lighter shade than the virgin material and often times clear, off-white, or white with little-to-no scent or flavor.
Refined, bleached (non-chemical process), deodorized. An "RBDW" product goes through a winterization ("W") process in addition to the RBD process.
Deodorized materials go through a non-chemical, high-vacuum process to reduce their natural aroma. While the aroma is not removed fully, a deodorized product’s aroma is less potent than the natural or unrefined variety.
