Natural Organic Beeswax blocks are a waxy dark material with a characteristic honey aroma. After the wax is obtained from beehives, it goes through a melting and homogenization process to yield a natural, raw product suitable for a wide range of personal-care and cosmetic formulations. With a low melting point at around 61 °C (142 °F), blocks of beeswax are easy to break apart and formulate with. This is a popular base for lip and body balms due to its ability to lock in moisture and protect the skin. Organic beeswax is a coveted ingredient in candle-making, either combined with other natural waxes or used as a standalone base. Due to natural properties of beeswax, it may be used as a stiffening agent to improve an end product’s firmness in addition to ample industrial applications including reusable wax paper, lubrication of metals, and waterproofing.
