It is dark green in color and has the characteristic sweet citrus aroma of limes. Key lime oil is commonly used for aromatherapy purposes and as a flavoring agent. Similar to lemon oil, it may be used for industrial purposes as an effective cleaning agent and blends well with other essential oils.
