Missing the smell and taste of olive oil 0 people found this helpfulGolden oil. No olivey scent or taste. Vague bitterness on the back of the tongue. Makes me think of Pomace olive oil - certainly not extra virgin. Not quite Pomace either. I remain immensely disappointed.

THE ONLY OLIVE OIL FOR US NOW... 1 people found this helpfulWe use olive oil primarily for culinary purposes - on practically EVERYTHING. We had been using the same famous name brand organic olive oil for at least a decade - thinking we were getting a superb product - a lot of which was based on the famous brand name. Because we trust the integrity of Jedwards, we decided to try some of the Jedwards’ Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil - and the results were VERY eye opening. With a bottle of our previous name brand olive oil - and a bottle of Jedwards in hand we realized that our previous oil had a very bland aroma (and taste). SO, we asked for an unbiased opinion from a unsolicited person on the aroma test…Jedwards’ Oil: “DEFINITELY smells like fresh olives” vs Previous Oil: “Weak aroma - not of olives at all like previous, but with almost a chemical residue smell.” No one was more surprised than us…Jedwards is now our go-to Organic Olive Oil. And since we only buy organic, we love, love, love all the great new organic selections as well! Actually it’s all very simple……..Buy from people you trust. Thank you Jedwards - you’ve earned our trust!

PS: this review is coming from someone who harvests organic olives in Tuscany for oil ;)
