Glyceryl Monostearate (GMS)

Glyceryl Monostearate, commonly referred to as GMS, is produced by combining glycerin and stearic acid and has a minimum of 40% Monoglyceride content. The primary application for GMS is to act as an emulsifier in foods such as breads, cakes, biscuits, margarine, shortening, peanut butter, among a wide range of other consumable goods that require an overall improvement in volume, texture, and consistency. In addition to food and beverage manufacturing, Glyceryl Monostearate has industrial applications.
