Standard Witch Hazel - USP is a clear, colorless distillate produced from the dried twigs of Hamamelis virginiana Linne with a 14% alcohol content derived from ethanol. Most known for its astringent properties, witch hazel is typically sold as a standalone product for topical applications or used in a multitude of varying skincare formulations. This variety of witch hazel varies from our item number P4001 – Witch Hazel – Natural – USP due to the type of alcohol it is derived from. Whereas this standard variety is derived from ethanol, item P4001 contains 14% alcohol content derived from natural grain alcohol. Jedwards offers 3 witch hazel varieties, the 3rd being our organic certified option, item P4000. All options are Non-GMO, but at varying price points depending on your label claims or preference. Witch hazel is a highly stable liquid comprised of water and alcohol and has long been used as a natural remedy to sooth various ailments.
