Fish Oil (18/12) is by far the most popular oil used in dietary supplements as a source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Derived from sea-harvested small planktivorous pelagic fish such as wild sardines (sardinus pichardus) our Fish Oil (18/12) has a characteristic brilliant gold appearance. Additionally, Fish Oil (18/12) enjoys self affirmed GRAS status making it particularly attractive to food manufacturers.
The typical cholesterol level of Fish Oil (18/12) is 0.7% maximum, importantly for manufacturers interested in reducing cholesterol in their formulations a 0.2% maximum cholesterol product is available. However, as additionally processing of the oil is required this material tends to sell at a premium.
